    other question would be,
    Why do you feel you need a 7mm rem mag as a carry rifle?
    OK if you expect to be shooting past 400 mtr regularly then fine but to me that's not a job for a light carry/back pack rifle.

    Would not a short or medium length cartridge in 6.5 or 7mm do 99% of what you want?
    they would be fine to 500 mtr with practice and a range finder.
