    Is this A-Cat

To be absolutely clear i am not lookinga t purchasing this piece of crap but as he posted a picture of the barrel removed it made me wonder if it still complied with the minimum length requirements for an A Catagory firearm.

Don't know how keen i would be just to thread the barrel hand tight and go out shooting...

Gillie, I am no expert but it looks A Cat. Bloody ugly as though.

I don't see what the issue is. If the barrel is removed it is no longer a functioning firearm.

Nothing wrong with length. If thats not a-cat for length requirements then nor is a ruger 10/22 take down. I bet the ergonomics of that thing would be a hell of alot nicer compared to the standard remington stock.

Its a Bolt action, as long as it meets minimum rifle length (762mm) its a Cat. Yes you can have 20/30 round mags, telescopic butt, flash hiders, bayonet lugs and any pistol grip you like on a bolt - it's always A-cat.

Yup, there's no accounting for taste.

From Rimfire forums, US guy has pimped out his 10/22 with airsoft gear.

And this throwing some Marlin's into airsoft to make :

Nice. They have to be better than the tinny muzzellite bullpup stock ive got, and that things made for real steel.

Some of those airsoft conversions are actually pretty well done. I thought about doing a G36k clone out of my 10/22

Not my cuppa tea either but you'd have to appreciate the pretty high standard of workmanship. It has been put together pretty bloody well from the photos (if it is actually fully functional). Id be curious how the barrel comes on and off? Action wrench and a vice?
