    A-CAT Guns...

Good evening friends! If you have an E-CAT endorsement but you have a gun brought a while back with your A-CAT endorsement can you still put the 30 round magazine in it?
    Thanks!
    James

One last thing; What is the difference from AR-15 magazines and SL8 magazines on this website http://www.spearmags.co.nz/
    Cheers!

No and they are different mags because they go in different guns.

No, you can't put it in your a-cat rifle (it converts it into an MSSA, goes for any MSSA feature, including flash hiders that people sell in TradeMe). If you don't have an MSSA in your possession that can accept that magazine, then even possessing it and an A-cat rifle could get you in trouble (unless it's used in a bolt-action of course). I've heard of someone being prosecuted for possession with intent, although apparently that person brazenly used a 30-rnd mag in an a-cat rifle at the range.

You can buy a magwell adapter for an SL8 so it will accept AR15/M16/M4 mags. Otherwise the hold and release mechanism is different.

If you have 30 round AR15 mags for sale now, I'll buy them for $50 each ;P
