    Cerakote or not to?

Hi all, would like to know if any one has had cerakote done on there rifle.

    How does it wear, knocks/rubs/water

And who's the best at doing this?

    Thanks in advance

Looks & works great.... but in terms of corrosion protection it does not protect the bore .

I'm happy with the GunKote process. Stands up well to use, doesn't chip.

Good to know..red dot rifles do it. Seems reasonably cheap. Might treat my dirty old blued savage one day.

Only had ours GunKoted. Have seen Cerakote that looked thick, and had chipped.

And I can get the GunKote done local, 20 min drive...no post or couriers.

Unless your specifically going for the parkerised look. I would go Cerakote or Gunkote for durability.
