When I took my form in the Station was not interested in sighting the firearm they take your form and send it off to the arms Officer. When the arms officer comes over to inspect your safe then they take note of the serial number to match it against the POL67X Form (That you had written down). As the Arms officer said to me a few weeks ago you just need to get your form in before the cut off date and if it take a month or so to be processed your still under the 6 month grace.

This is a good discussion point. The police guff suggest people have until 11 June 2014 to 'apply for an endorsement to a specific MSSA' (67X). To me that reads that one must already have an E endorsed licence by 11 June to be able to do this.
Ie the grace period is just for the specific endorsement, not the E (endorsement) on your licence.
What a mess.
Sounds far more practical to allow people to submit applications for both prior to the 11th.
