Thread: Cheap gear that surprises you

The Back Country range of fleece clothing at the Warehouse.

Cheap and cheerful but hardy and long lasting. Particularly the bonded fleece pants with the waterproof bum and knee sections. I’ve worn those pants for three years now and can sit on wet ground quite happily glassing without a second thought. Very warm and the fleece is thick and repels water well. Believe me if they didn’t work well I wouldn’t wear them.

The only problem with them as I found out again yesterday is that they tend to hang onto the smell of deer and goat! Even after a couple of warm washes mine smell like something I just shot. But I’m guessing that’s probably quite a good thing…
