So I know you guys hate cheap scopes. But if you had to chose between the cheapo gun city scope or the bushnell that comes with everything scope, which would you use?

Bushnell because at least the NZ Bushnell agents will stand behind it if it fails. Otherwise for cheap but not so nasty the entry level Nikons are not too bad.
Yep, I would use the bushy, I had a banner that came on a rifle second(third, fourth?) hand that broke and the agent replaced at no cost so at least they have backup!
Nikons are really good for the money.
"Here's the deal I'm the best there is. Plain and simple. I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence."
If you need a cheapo the nikko nite eaters will do the job.
Bushnell.

I bought a Marlin 795 from Gun City in 2011 (I didn't know any better then, alright?) and it came with some chikkety China 4x32 scope which was pants. I bought a Bushnell 7x32 scope to replace and can't fault it.
Some say it's heavy but at the end of the day it's sitting on a .22 so meh. Puts me onto what I shoot at.
Well I shall never own another

Can confirm, gun city scopes are the crappest. I think they reduce in value when they stamp the GC logo on them.
That's sure the truth!

I don't really think I've seen any scope gun combo where the scope is worse than a gun city a scope.
Have used 5-6 Bushnells - Sportsman, Banner and Trophy and all were good wee scopes for the buck. Great on 22s.
The three basic 22 scopes I use are Nikko (Nite-eaters are nice scopes for their job), Bushnell and Mueller. All good value for the buck and do well with rimfires.
