I bought a Marlin 795 from Gun City in 2011 (I didn't know any better then, alright?) and it came with some chikkety China 4x32 scope which was pants. I bought a Bushnell 7x32 scope to replace and can't fault it.
Some say it's heavy but at the end of the day it's sitting on a .22 so meh. Puts me onto what I shoot at.
