    Christensen Arms Rifles

Any body had any experience with these rifles? How is their accuarcy? I was in Dead Eye Dicks today and he has a few in stock - they look quite nice. Expensive but!

Will soon be getting a carbon fibre stock off them for my Blaser. They aint cheap and thats just for a stock.
I have heard all sorts of good things about the rest of their gear.

I have one of their Rem LA carbon classic stocks weighing in at 18 oz.

Its an absolute work of art without a single visual flaw inside or out.

    Its stunning.

The stocks do look nice on their rifles. I'd be interested to see how your Blaser stock looks R93. If its nice I might buy one and build a blaser from parts using Abe's receivers and aftermarket barrels.
If you don't mind me asking, how much is it Dave? And what's the delivery time on it?

Very light carbon wrapped barrels using mostly Rem700 actions. Sub 6lb magnums may be a bit savage in the recoil department I would think.
They do carbon R93 barrels too Dave!
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Was chatting to one of the staff in DED and it sounds like it's possible to purchase a Christensen Arms barrel of your choice or barrel blank if you want a wildcat - a Remington or Rem clone titanium action, carbon barrel and carbon stock and you would have a pretty light weight rig!

How does it compare to a McMillian Hunters Edge for weight? The pistol grip felt a bit thin on the C Arms standard stock but I havent experienced an edge stock so they may be similar.

The mcmillan range anywhere from 3 to 10 oz heavier in the same profile type.

I have not lightened mine yet, and there are plenty of places to remove material if need be.

They quoted $1900 US and pretty quick delivery.
I confirmed they will definitely ship to NZ via email.
I think ya need an import permit as well for a stock. No dramas I have been told.

It's for a blaser. It's mandatory to put ridiculous prices on anything to do with them.
It's the only centre-fire rifle I will ever own, so to me, it's a cheap, long term investment.
