I had a BSA Hunter and they are nice BUT parts are very hard to get (like break and extractor and you're stuffed) and modern triggers are better . . . .

That’s the problem with some of the earlier small actions is getting parts if something breaks ...

Have you got an extractor for a .222 hunter?
mine is hanging up a bit when closing the bolt on a case it sometimes pops off the rim leaving the round stuck in the chamber. I've wondered if it would be possible to build the original back up and file to original shape but would not be easy due to extractor being spring steel

It's always amazed me the amount of kiwis who pronounce "Anschutz" as "Anschultz". Must be a hangover from Shultz on "Hogan's Heroes".

    Re the 222
The Hunter must take top rank going on its resale value and appreciating rate
Has to be the BSA Hunter with a Schnabnel fore-end though and not had swivel torn out which happens to most that got used proper :-(

I have a 222 hunter, and a majestic. I enjoy older stuff for what it is but the new legacy is just better and will get more use because of it.

He stated it was Beretta that was the issue, which implies he’s only talking about new sakos.
