Thread: Cleaning a Filthy shotgun barrel??

Brought a new old double hammer gun in the weekend
Its a very nice gun locks up nice and tight
I only problem is there’s are fair amount of pitting in the barrels it’s not the worst ive seen but certainly not the best
Still plenty shootable though over all excellent condition for a 120yo gun
Anyway i am cleaning the barrels and after a good 10 cycles of hopes no9 brushing letting it soak patching out and repeting the patches are still coming out like this

Probably just 120 years of shit lol the good thing is as I clean im noticeing the barrels are in better condition than 1st Thorght

Any tips for getting it spotless?
