    Cleaning rods

I'm in the market for a couple of new cleaning rods, Both my Paker Hale have seen better days and would like to replace them
I see Neil Hayes is not the agent anymore and I can't seem to find any eg Workshop innovations are out of stock
Does any one know where I can get them as I have the fittings and they don't seem to fit the american ones

    Or alternately another quality brand
    Cheers.

I have Dewey rods coupled with Lucas custom bore guides specific to brand and chambering. Both excellent quality items.

No, just what I use. Bought mine when living in the US. Better than Tipton, but likely cost more too.

Long since pensioned off my Parker Hale rods.

Now use Boretech coated, Tipton carbon fibre.

Not a fan of stainless uncoated rods although the SS fans will argue the coated ones like Boretech are prone to pickup.
I have never had that problem and keep my rods spotlessly clean and they are stored in plastic water pipe.

Both the Tipton and the Botetech have excellent ball races in their handles - very important. Handles are decent sized. Boretech tip is also Cu solvent resistant so no false Cu indications whilst cleaning.

The Tipton is great rod. It has the added advantage of the rod extending thru the handle so if you have a woops and have a tight patch you can tap the end of the the rod to free it, without damaging the handle.

When I first went away from PH I used adaptors with my old PH jags etc.

I do have one SS rod - a Pro-Shot which I use on my 22s. Nice rod with a excellent handle. Made by a small family company in the states.

Nice tip storying them in plastic pipe! @zimmer
Think I値l give that a go as I have them hung up on some broom handle hooks.
Your idea sounds so much better.
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

I've googled Dewey, can't seem to get alot of info on the rods, they seem to sell alot of tee shirts , women's tanktops , caps, grease and field kits

Bore tech I'm having alot more success with, cheers @zimmer.
