Have you fired it yet and what is extraction like. What is the rest of the barrel interior like?
You can polish a chamber with a piece of wooden dowel and very fine grinding paste but you will never remove pits, if they have developed.You can also get into trouble using this method as there is a possibility of removing too much parent metal. Gently gently.
