    Compact scopes

Im after a compact scope with <40mm Objective. Keen on being light and fast with reasonable optics.
The Nikon Monarch 2-8x33 ticks the box quite nicely @ 13.4oz. Not really tried one in the flesh but they review well.
    Others would be the
Loopy VX3 2.5-8x36CDS @ 11.4oz (good all rounder dare I admit it? light with good glass?)
    Loopy VX2 Ultralight 3-9x33 @ 11oz
    Bushy 6500 1.25-8x33 @ 15.8oz (getting heavy)
    Bushy Elite 2-7x32 @ 12oz
    Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35 @ 14.2oz
Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x32 @ 16.8oz (real heavy)
    Zeiss Terra 2-7x32 @ 13.4oz (sound a bit shit)
Any other ideas out there in internet world?

Yes, I have a mate with the Kahles but I couldn't find one online. I thought they may have stopped making them.
Is the Swaro a Z3? I have a Z5 and its great but I thought it was a touch less robust?

I’ve got the same Swarvo as Gillie’s Dad.

Kahles still make them in the KX line, just as nice as the CT / CL.

Zeiss did not do very well with US assembled Conquest and took them back to the motherland. Also of the few reviews I found they were OK compared to the other budget scopes but nothing amazing. I'm sure it will be a fine scope Toby.

I'm sure the kahles will be a little cheaper than the swaro. Probably not much in it really. I like the kahles for a bush scope because of the lower 2x vs 3x. Father likes the swaro because he does a fair amount of shooting with his 223 much of it out to 350m or so...

I love the little 2.5-7x28 weaver on my .22. Rimfire scope though.

@Toby how you finding the Terra? I like the look of the little 2-7 now Ive seen one in the flesh. Any issues? 13.4oz is a touch heavy but not a deal breaker

    Anyone using a VX-R loopy too? the 2-7 x 33 has a lot for 12.7oz

The Nikon Monarch also is a nice little unit. 13.4oz again. Hard to find a bad review on them.

The VXR has good glass James, quite a thick crosshair though, which may bother you for the longer shots.

Think Crafty has one in stock you can have a peep at.
