    Couriering a rifle

I know this topic has come up before ( probably multiple times ) But who / what is everyone doing to send a firearm? I haven't sent one for a while & it use to be a piece of piss. But what a lota wank now.

I sold a gun on TM, got the official Police form, nicely boxed & labelled it up then off to "Fastways" , what an over complicated pain in the arse nowadays, Firstly had to chop the box open to get the bolt out so can be sent separately then after all that fuking around she tells me they won't send to a private address. Needs to be a business or gunshop ffs.

Iv'e sent a rifle & it's been keep at the local depot for someone to pick up, Is this still an option? ( as she never mentioned it ) or what doe's everyone else do ? as I just want this thing delivered.
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Sent one two weeks ago, went straight to their (Fastways) Depot for said person to collect. So it is still an option. Is a pain in the arse

Nz couriers will send without the fuss to an address. Breath of fresh air, a lot cheaper too.

    $36 overnight between islands

Last few I've sent they haven't asked to take the bolt out, that could have changed though. Wait for the day they lose a bolt. What then?

I think you'll find that different Fastway franchises charge different rates, paid $30 to SI last week, to be picked up from their depot.

NZ couriers will be interesting to follow up with.

I've done a few lately with Fastways, unfortunately the 2 to the SI the branches haven't bothered to call the recipient as they're suppose to.

Due to the fact mine is now business related I need to look at a better level of service, so NZC shall be getting a enquiry.

Have sent and reci bed a few lately.

Fast ways are to a business or depot pick up only. Was $35 to send 2 rifles between islands for a non account holder. The $35 was up to 10kg in weight.
Had a rifle sent back from gunworks which was pick up only from the nz courier depot.
It helps that I have been working within 5 minutes of both of these depots.

The trick is to send them in a cardboard box so :

    1 they don’t look like a rifle

2 the weight is under 5kg

This will keep costs down and stop pesky questions about bolts firearms forms etc.

I send and reci a few a week.

NZC seem to be the best after the shake up.

I should really get an account.
