So from that article I gathered that they wanna build a whole heap of 6.5cm machineguns. But, for the everyday carry for the troops om the ground they have seen the light and will develop a 6.8 cal rifle to replace the 5.56 M4.

did they need to develop another chambering? whats wrong with the 6.8 spc or .277 wolverine if theyre going down the 6.8 road?

Im gonna hazard a guess at them just issuing an AR platform rifle chambered in 6.8spc
