have a look around for a zastava...... there have been a few come up recently...they are a really nice honest work horse that isnt half bad to look at and give some love with an oily rag at end of day to clean off the blood and debris.

Cheers, Yes good honest gun but Im looking for something a little off the beaten track more than a work horse.
Shultz and larsen legacy maybe, that sort of thing.

Nice rifles but Im just not a sako fan and the twist rate is going to be an issue , and Iv got a bsa hunter in 222 already.

Levers are fun but they give up a little to much in accuracy for what Im thinking, I inherited my Mums little miroku . ML 22. Thankfully. Always enjoy it.

I might have to talk to @camo wsm about a custom .

As you mentioned, S&L Legacy would be something less mainstream. Only ever seen one come up on the yellow site, probably have to import. @Southcity could be of assistance maybe.

Shultz and Larsen are imported by CR Pain into NZ. He has several resellers. I believe Reloaders stock them and also Bill Perry. They are all steel, beautifully machined and supremely accurate.
