    Crown question

    Hiya got a tikka on weekend which shoots like all tikkas but the crown is flat, should it have an angle or just leave as is cheers

    No. The muzzle is flat.

    The crown, which is where the rifling leaves the barrel, is the angled section.

    The shape of the muzzle is largely immaterial
    The shape and quality of the crown is the important part

    Leave it , nothing wrong with it , it’s arrised around the edge of the bore , that’s all that matters and as yo7 say it shoo5s fine , I have one exactly the same done by Dean Maisey

    You are over thinking it.

    Muzzles come in all shapes.
    As long as it's square to the bore it really doesn't mater on a hunting rifle.

    But the crown where the rifling leaves the barrel is of the utmost importance

    If it works don't touch it

    I'd even argue that if it looked like it was done with a hacksaw, but still shot well leave it. Though I'd struggle to just because it would annoy me.
