I had a Model 07 in 6.5x47L. Was seriously accurate, but heavy. The 10 shot mag fed well with 7-8 rounds in it, but not so good when fully loaded. Mine had a Jewel trigger which was fine. The Barnard triggers are very good as well, but a little more temperamental to dust/grit etc.
My Current Barnard PL short action weighs much the same as a Rem long action and has been faultless to date - as were the previous Barnard's I have owned. They have been dragged (literally) through shitty West Coast monkey scrub and still function fine, like any blued action, they require a little more TLC than a stainless though.
I'm tempted by a Sako 85 in 223, only downside is the short mag length...
