You feeling alright???
edited, whatever .223 boltface is
Generally my experience with custom rifles has been that they cost a lot, don't work properly and are never entirely satisfactory, yes.
Buy a Sako off the shelf?
Why would you get a custom on a 223 boltface.
Buy a savage , do what you will with it.
my whatnow?
Gimp and custom? Told you this place is going to shit :D
This is a troll thread.
Get a Sako carbonlite
Keep an eye out for a Remington LVSS.
I can't recall seeing one since I sold mine.
I had one in the early 90's in .223
One of the most unfussy and accurate 223s I have had.
Iirc the action was a true mini 700 type and would make a good build.
All these fancy custom actions are just Rem copies anyway.

that weight can't be accurate, my .260 Finnlight weighs 2.6kg and it's got an 800gm plastic stock & a M action
Don't you have some panel damage to fix?

Nothing wrong with Barnard.
How’s the tolerances on Barnard for field use?
It may pay to be abit more forth coming on what you want to do, is it a light rifle, a target rifle or varmit or......
I guess unlike custom Rifles, Tikkas are generally worth twice as much second hand (based on looking at Tardeme) so that may be a positive
I had a Model 07 in 6.5x47L. Was seriously accurate, but heavy. The 10 shot mag fed well with 7-8 rounds in it, but not so good when fully loaded. Mine had a Jewel trigger which was fine. The Barnard triggers are very good as well, but a little more temperamental to dust/grit etc.
My Current Barnard PL short action weighs much the same as a Rem long action and has been faultless to date - as were the previous Barnard's I have owned. They have been dragged (literally) through shitty West Coast monkey scrub and still function fine, like any blued action, they require a little more TLC than a stainless though.
I'm tempted by a Sako 85 in 223, only downside is the short mag length...
