what's the action for. Alpine hunting, general hunting, F class, bench.
Locally you can buy a NZ made bolt action that's as good as most imports,
Barnard, Hardy plus I'm sure there are others.
Barnard do SA and LA Rem 700 clones plus the full on heavy target types with at least 3 sizes of bolt faces, 308/3006 family 338LM family size and 50cal.

Barnards are well engineered but they don't do a stainless version so that would put off a few hunters

I've had a few different custom actions... Several of these have been supplied by Cam at Alpine Precision (@camo wsm). If you haven't already, I'd recommend getting in touch with him .

I would second that my experience using him for my latest build was a far far better experience. He delivered exactly what was agreed, and the gunsmithing was totally top notch
It worked 100% right from the get go, as it was dealing with Alpine Precision was totally different experience that my first custom rifle which gave me and is still giving me grief trying to have its extraction issues sorted after nearly 6 years.

100% Recommend Cam to anyone. He delivers what he promises, no excuses and stands 100% behind his stuff....................

Yep Cam is a top bloke to deal with!!

Definitely agree with your experience with Alpine Precision. In fact, his CS is too good .

1 build has turned into 2 and now a couple more on the way/in the pipeline. He even tried talking me out of 1!
