K is for Koucky. I cannot remember which of the two brothers designed the rifle, possibly Frantisek? They both worked on the ZKK rifles. Z, if I recall correctly, is the the first initial of the Czech word for rifle. There is a young Czech guy working at Gun City in Wellington who was raised a couple of hundred metres from the old Brno plant. You could ask him or go to the CZ/Brno page at Rimfire Central.
