    Cz527 300 blk magazines

    Hi
Has anyone seen any cz527 300blk magazines in stores? Have a mate who built a .250 Myra (.25-222rem) and we can’t find any in Australia

If it is built on a .222 or .223 572, you can use the stock mags with a simple mod.
Take a piece of smooth and clean 25x8mm steel flat bar about 90 mm long and grind a gentle radius on the long edges of one end. This will be your forming tool.
Take the base off the mag and remove the internals.
Gently clamp in a vice between a couple of pieces of 50x8mm (or thicker) flat bar set pretty much flush with the top of the mag.
Provide a solid support between the vice slide and the bottom of the mag. This must fully support the base of the mag or you could distort it.
Lube the the tool and inside of the neck guide indents well with something like tapping fluid (diff oil or light grease at a pinch) and gently drive down between indents.
The mag should be leaning slightly forward if it is flat on the support. Follow down at this angle making sure you dont drive the tool into the front radius of the mag.
Remove the tool and the springback should leave the neck guides at the perfect gap for your 25 cal neck.
If you are careful, the mag will work flawlessly.
The 25-222 and the CZ527 are a perfect match.

I milled mine out to accomodate the 300 black projectiles. I mean 300 whisper, because that was 20years ago :-)
