    Of the two you mention I'd pick the .270 at the drop of a hat.

    If you are not set on one of the two, I'd pick neither, and .243 is a far from ideal deer chambering too.

    Been shooting Tahr for nearly 40 yrs, bet I have a better idea than you about that, and I have used everything from .243 to 338 Lap on them, keep coming back to 2506. You just keep feelin that keyboard.
