Thread: Dirty barrels ....

My son and I have been re zeroing our rifles with suppressors for a hunting trip next weekend.

Its been a mission.

Anyway, to remove at least one factor from the equation I gave both tikkas (223, 243) a clean using a jag , patches and a nylon brush.

Try as I might I could never get a clean patch ... Theres always black shit onit ... Which I assume is carbon.

I would run a dry patch thru, followed by another soaked in hoppes, then several more dries, then the brush, and finally another hoppes cycle.

Any ideas ??

For the record they're both shooting ok ish now
