    A easy way to clean a can is a ultrasonic cleaner, the crap that comes out of a .22lr can has to be seem to be believed.

    But up until a point having the crud can dampen the ringing from the can.

    I would think that the only affects on accuracy would be from changing harmonics as the can gets heavier as it fills up with crud(likely very small), or if the crud built up to the point that rounds are touching it
