ordered a couple of parts yesterday im 90% sure I wont need a permit but want confirmation for piece if mind

parts are all for a marlin 25n bolt action 22lr

    parts are...

1x mag latch and ejector (the bit that holds the mag in the rifle and the part that ejects the empty rounds) the one part dose both jobs
1x mag Gide (the part that the mag slides into on the rifle)
    1x 7 round mag to suit a marlin 25n

Are you saying you don't need a permit to import a magazine. Is that across the board?

What about those 10rnd mags for the Howa bolt action 1500s, It's still A-cat.

The only part of an A cat that requires a permit is the action.

Customs will stop it and you will need your AO to write them and state it is for an a cat

if its a semi it would have to be one that would make it 7 or less rounds total and not 8

Customs will tend to ask anyway, as most shotgun tube extensions will fit across a number of models in a manufacturer's range.
I got asked for a permit for my 870 pump extension, as can be fitted to an 11-87 or 1100 Semi.

I had a crazy long one not even get stopped by customs, so I ordered a second one to make use of the permit and that did get stopped.

I ordered a 2+ one for a 930 and had to get my AO to tell them it was for an a cat. I had to take shotgun in for him to verify first.
