5.0 Model 400 This rifle has the Pfaff action. Copied from another site. Krico ( Kriegeskorte and company) built a copy of the Brno ZKW from 1956 to 1963. the first gun had a SN 100001

These copy rifles originally had an investment casting action built by the Pfaff sewing machine company. The action then changed to a milled action from serial number 103442
One of my greatest regrets was, many years ago, selling my Anschutz 1574 in 222Rem. It used the 600 action.
Depending where you read, Anschutz used the 600 action and then barreled and stocked, Anschutz sourced the barreled action from Krico and then stocked. Whatever, my example was superbly accurate.

Husquvarna also used the Krico 600 action.

A mate had a 308 Anschutz also made by Krico.

Yes correct, Krico made complete rifles for Anschutz as well as actions. Also they supplied actions for some Savage and Beretta. Tradewind was the USA Krico. A lot of centre fire Anschutz are actually Krico. This is my own opinion...but I suspect some Voere are also using Krico actions as I have seen some very similar....I do not know if this is correct though

A 1574 in .222 would be a sweet rifle that I would love to own, getting to be worth a few bob too.

@northdude I would absolutely love to have a look at it, if you don't mind I will PM you and see if there would be a suitable time and place to see it. Would it be alright to photograph a couple of its features?

This was purchased by a family member in the late 60’s. After close to 50 years of hard use I got it tidied up and it came up mint, especially considering it’s previous condition Very well engineered little rifles that shoot well (MOA @50yd with a 4x scope, good enough..)

Missed out on a good priced 22 magnum mate got years ago.
Had a bulge in the barrel and he got it cheap and cut it back.
Ended up giving it to his missus
    Spewing.

@7.62 that's awesome mate! It's really cool when people put in the time and effort to bring these old sporters back to like new condition. Warms my heart mate, really does.

@csmiffy well on the bright side, you'd probably want a bit more barrel with a .22 mag. It's a great cartridge the humble .22 Mag, works well with Hares that have got wise to hunters with LR. I used to use a Marlin in .22 mag, used to knock them flat at quite the distance.

    This is my Wife's Rifle.
I found it in a Gun shop for cheap. We stripped the hideous brown lacquer from the Beech stock and oiled it up.

    Shoots well.

I had a Krico semi auto with a tube magazine years ago,it was a nice little Rifle.

Cheers mate. I’ve been meaning to get my kids behind this rifle; that would mean that four different generations of our family had put some rounds through it
