    DPT braked suppressor

    Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to play around with the brake attachment for the dpt suppressor? Interested in buying one but want to hear some first hand experiences before hand.
    Cheers

Yep I’ve tried it, shot a couple bull tahr last week. I removed the end cap and a baffle to keep it shortish. I felt less recoil, can’t comment on sound. This is with a 7prc. Ears weren’t ringing or anything like that

I wish they had one that fits the Mk1 suppressors, or an adapter that allows the Mk2 one to screw on to Mk1 baffles. As an early adapter & fan of DPT suppressors nearly all of mine are Mk1. Hope you boys at DPT are reading this

I haven’t tried the DPT version, but have a Maniatis version and it is really good, very quiet and the recoil reduction is great. Have it on a tikka 7mm rem mag in a carbon stock replaced my muzzle break with it and would never look back.

Gave one a go over the weekend. Did reduce recoil a bit and no charge to point of impact which was a bonus.

On a 6.5prc which did not need a brake but I thought what the hell.

I was in there last week. Was told that they will be available for the MK1 in due course.

    Can the brake be timed?
Or does the barrel need to be threaded to suit?

Mint, I have a suppressed 20” prc and am looking at getting the brake attachment for it. Just out of interest, how do the ports line up with barrel, as in are “square” or sit at odd positions in relation to the barrel?

They are a radial design, so timing isn't relevant

I have one at work if you would like to see one

This may be a silly question but was it much louder? I have a mk2 over barrel on a 7mm with an extra baffle currently.
