    Dpt question

Hey guys I've purchased a 223 which is already threaded. I was planning on getting a muzzle forward dpt for it. I already have a over barrel 7mm and was wondering if you can change the baffles between the to if I get another 7mm. Is the performance just as good running 223 through a 7mm? Any thoughts? Has any run a muzzle forward with 4 baffles?

I use my 6.5 suppressor on my .223 dpt muzzle forward. Works pretty good

Like Toby I have a 6.5 and a 223, I used my over barrel can on the same guns with one muzzle forward baffle cal (6.5). the 223 had a bigger "POP" than the 6.5 and I would have rated my 6.5 quieter than the 223.
I then bought a proper baffle setup for the .223 (22cal) and it removed the pop and brought it down to the level of the 6.5 (ie quiet.)

Military Arms Channel did a sound pressure test with multiple .30 cal cans on a .223 and noted no change on performance

Hey Toby, could you post a photo of your Six and a half with the DPT muzzle forward can, I'm considering the same thing. Thanks.

My " Xpert" says there is nothing gained of having an over barrel of more than 40 mm just adds weight? This guy should know he manufacture top end suppressors, any thoughts?

Thanks Toby, that what I was after.
Trying to decide twixt that one and the overbarrel, for some reason I just don't like the idea of an overbarrel.
I have an A-Tec Au on my 6.5 but am finding it almost impossible to get another for my 30 06, so seriously looking at DPT in some configuration

What is wrong with the over barrel? It is far stronger and adds a lot less length than a muzzle forward can. Had one of them and never again!

See, that's it, that's the dilemma not saying there is anything wrong, my first suppressor after many years of resistance was an overbarrel type
I was, and probably still am concerned about barrel heating and taking a long time to cool down
And, they are just plain ugly.
