MY $0.02C,
My first suppressor was a Gunworks for my 7mm RM, i still have it and was a 2011 model 41mm diameter and i believe full Stainless Steel as it is heavy, more than 500grams for sure. I then bought a 223 bolt action and i bought then a DPT old school, all SS and i regret sell that rifle and suppressor, it was great. Bought a 7-08 and it had a DPT modular… wow, good noise reduction and weight amazing, bought another 7mm RM and it came with a Hushpower suppressor, wow, that was light too but i had few issues with the thing, still do a great job. Later on i bought an AR15 and because i was interested in shoot goats without the round counting i bout a MAE SS suppressor to suit it, heavier, noisier and personally didn't fit my needs, so i sold and bought another DPT… since then i bought another 3 DPT suppressors, 2 for 2 creedmoor and 1 for my 243… don't regret a bit… I have see and shot with the A-Tec suppressors and they are the "chisels", i saw Hardy suppressors in action too and they are amazing, however what these suppressors brand and others DONT have in common is "PRICE"! some will work brilliantly but will cost you quiet a bit of money, other will work brilliantly too but for a reasonable fraction of the price of others.
Some suppressors have in their material the big pros and cons such as, some will hold more heat than other and then some will soon down faster than others, material wear will be to consider and how much firing you do and how much mirage will affect your shooting…
Resuming, many options and many utilities, may one work for many rifles may you need to have one for each specific rifle… your budget will "guide" you… In the end of the day it is all about money… Oh, in the end of the day is also night!!!
