Do a search, this question ( or a variant ) comes up a lot
I have 2 DPT’s a Gunworks and a Hardys
All are good, but personally I prefer the DPT.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.
You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !
I can only comment on the DPT’s. Have three of them and they seem to be great quality. The guys at DPT are awesome to deal with, always happy to answer questions.
Are they the quietest? No. But have very little issues, good service and low cost.
They are solid as a rock, seen a few hardys blow their guts out now.
Cursed be the ground for our sake. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for us. For out of the ground we were taken, for the dust we are... and to the dust we shall return.
DPT are the ducks nuts, modular so you add or replace baffles
north island...DPT SOUTH ISLAND Gunworks..... you wont go wrong with either.
DPT are great units and great people to deal with...how quiet??? the 22-250 is now as quiet as the .223....much better on ears.
DPT
I run a couple of extra baffles to take the bark and blast out of my short 16” barrel.
DPT are good suppressors, not the best at anything but a good mix of weight, price and noise reduction. You can get lighter units, shorter units, quieter ones and cheaper ones but getting a light, compact and very quiet suppressor is going to cost.
As well as having a good product the people at DPT are great to deal with and I can't remember ever hearing of anyone having issues with them.
DPT are severely overrated. Very dangerous. Cant hear a bloody thing when you fire the MK 11. Neither can the deer. Save youreslf some time and grief. PM Friwi.
I know of two DPT suppressors blowing up. I have three of them at the moment. Just thought it's worth mentioning
Yeah my mate had two go and I know of a couple of others too. But, these were all high volume shooting, short barrel rifles, eg 12"-14" so wear and tear will be far quicker on something like that and at the end of the day they aren't designed to last forever.
After personally seeing the aftermath of some serious hardy blow ups, one causing serious stock damage, and my own gunworks splitting I have no doubt that they all are capable of it.
For weight, price and quality I think DPT are a good middle road. I own 4 of them.
man you fellas must be hard on gear.......
Short barrels are brutal on suppressors
I have 5 DPTs and just brought 2 more today ...........................and another 308
I believe thats what the SS baffles have been made for....you high volume, short barrel boys might need to run two of them!!!!!!
