Nightforce
Nightforce
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
it would wear leupold name badge...2-10x and have fine centre and fat outer bars like a kahles and extremely wide field of view at low power like the old nikko stirling goldcrowns.a larger rear eye box,to help with quick eye centering and better sight picture Aquisition .and most importantly cost under $500 new... not be truck axel big or heavy either.
75/15/10 black powder matters
I love my nx8 2.5-20, best scope I have owned.
Worth a little extra weight I reckon.
If I wanted to save some weight I would be keen to check out the Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42
I really like the Element Helix 4-16. Maybe I should dream bigger though. I would like to run the Titan 3-18 FFP MRAD
@Gkp SFP of FFP? I tend to like FFP these days but the MilC reticle doesn't lend itself well low magnification work.
Maybe the MOAR reticle would be better but I'm well off the MOA train these days.

On my LR setup, just stepped up from a NF ATACR 5-25, to my dream scope... March Genesis mini 4-40, and so glad I did... not only can I see a fly walking across the 1m steel plate at 1500m... I can see that it got a little close to the action and is now gender neutral... The only thing wrong with the ATACR was my ageing eyes...in all respects it was a great scope but the Genesis is just one step further... brilliant.!
Parallax is finicky but makes it easy to know it’s bang on with out waving your head back and forth march 2.5-25x42

@Beetroot F2
I had the higher mag 32x nx8 in F1 and liked it but never used it over 20x
I sold it thinking it was too much coin to have tied up in a scope. I quickly learnt the error of my thinking!
The whole combo works so well together

I wish Leupold would produce one of their one inch tubed compact scopes with the guard ion lens coating they have on their vx5's and vx6's. If they put the Guard ion on their 1.5-4x20hog, VX31.5-5x20 or their fx2.5x20 that would be my dream scope. The 30mm 1-5 vx5's are great but are a bit longer and heavier than their compacts with the one inch tube.
