I've had a couple done not had any ill effects, but definitely get a smith to do it on a lathe

Any thing is possible with the right amount of capital injection. Would think it wouldn't take much if you had access to a lathe rather than a drill press.
Literally a 30 second job in the lathe....it takes longer to set up than to bore them out, my smith will literally do them while I wait for a nominal but fair fee

My gunsmith charged me $15 per suppressor (x2) to open up the holes on the lathe.
A good job and a good wife has been the ruin of many a good hunter.
I'd be very supprised if it did, how else would they manufacture the different bore sizes (I doubt they machine them in different bore sizes, happy to be corrected) ? The only thing I think it would effect is that it would be slightly less effective on smaller calibers and the numbers wouldn't match the bore size (no danger there I would think as the bore will be larger than the marked size).
I know my gunsmith had no qualms at all about doing it, and as stated no ill effects at all

Childs play
I just put a DPT section in the lathe
Put an indicator rod in the existing hole and checked and there is virtually no run out
So fast and easy to ream them on the lathe
Would also be pretty easy to do with an adjustable reamer manually because they have a nice lead in and would cut the alloy like butter
only thing i could see a problem with is after you have reamed out black baffles you lose the anodizing off the the bore of them ,making it more susceptible to blast wear. just my 2 cents worth
Honestly i have shot plenty of 308 projectiles through 7mm dpt baffles (MK1 baffles so cant confirm mk2) a good concrentric to bore thread job is essential but i almost exclusively run a 7mm Stainless baffle on my rifles from the old 223 AR to my 14 inch 308 BLR. I did it because because I measured it up and there was clearance even if minimal I tried it knowing it was my problem and risk and tested it by adding a baffle at a time until i ensured no contact.
As for anodizing i think its a viable reason not to bore it however it will eventually where through but most of my can still have the anodizing even after being run on very short barrels. It helps with corrosion resistance which is a concern depending on where you hunt.
For the cost of baffles i doubt boring them is worthwhile unless you can do it yourself as chances are you will end up with another 7mm or 6.5 etc anyway.
I asked Friwi at DPT about this. He said it ruins the anodising that protects the aluminium.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the hole in a .30 suppressor 8mm?
When you have a chance , measure the diameter of a 30 cal projectiles. You ll find that 8mm does not give you much chance in case of the slightest misalignment.
In 30 cal We bore our brakes at 8.4 and our suppressors at 9mm .
