what sort of ranges are you expecting to hunt at?

my 338 long range and hunting rifle wears a vx6hd (out of your price range I realise) that if I remember correctly is 4-24 with 50mm objective . it is a little heavier but I find it does both jobs , hunting and long range out to 1km fine . The rifle is a hardy carbon job though so lightweight for calibre . Around 4.5 kg all up from memory
