Thread: Dual purpose scopes

Hey all,

After some advise on a dual purpose hunting and long rage scope for a 6.5 Creedmoor in a hunting stock. This will be a dual purpose rifle for a bit of long range shooting and be my go to hunting rifle for the moment.

Not sure which way to go regarding size and weight? For the range roughly a 5-25/50mm would be ideal I think, just not sure how I would go lugging it around hunting? Anyone else here carry a bigger optics with them hunting? I have never owned a scope that big before.

FFP and around $1000-$1500 in Mil is my preference, are there any lighter weight LR options out there that are durable enough and can be managed on longer hikes through the bush and suit LR preferences at the same time? Or should I go smaller as I am leaning more to LR optics at the moment?

It will defiantly be shot more at the range, though it will be carried way more than anything else lol
