    Put a new scope on so thought I would relive the barrel channel a little while I was at it hopefully it will still shoot otherwise I'll be looking for a new stock shortlyName:  20221229_143756.jpg

    It seems to shoot ok got a .55 and .61 at 100m this arvo so it still shoots straight

    Should probably be in the Humour section, if there was one.
    It wouldn't worry me so long as the rifle still shot well, which it evidently does. As someone already said it should be much easier to blow out crud that ends up in the barrel channel. I'm always surprised by how much I find in the stock hollows of my Tikkas when removing the stock.
    If guys rib you about the queer looking stock try BS'ing about how much unnecessary weight was removed while tightening groups by 1/2 inch and wait to see if anyone else does the same.
