    The concept featured prominently (and taken to even greater extreme) on the Kifaru Rambling Rifle.

    What killed the Kifaru was it's high purchase price and weird looks but the concept of an accurate yet ultra light switch barrel rifle is still something that many manufacturers are selling (or claiming to offer) today.

    It takes experiments like this to show what is really required and what is only there for looks. For offhand I reckon it's great but I do need a bipod mount

    Still has the original sling stud mount

    You don't even have to look that far from the mainstream to find examples of that style....
