You wont be the first or the last.Go huntn.
So that's what "free floated" means😁
Might find it's a fairly flexi foreend now...
No pressure points on that baby.
It seems to shoot ok got a .55 and .61 at 100m this arvo so it still shoots straight
Liked because it takes a bigger man to admit a screw-up
If you learn from your mistakes, I should have a bloody Phd by now
The stock shape Looks like that an Kifaru rambling rifle.

I think 'remove' may be a better word choice...;)
Should probably be in the Humour section, if there was one.
It wouldn't worry me so long as the rifle still shot well, which it evidently does. As someone already said it should be much easier to blow out crud that ends up in the barrel channel. I'm always surprised by how much I find in the stock hollows of my Tikkas when removing the stock.
If guys rib you about the queer looking stock try BS'ing about how much unnecessary weight was removed while tightening groups by 1/2 inch and wait to see if anyone else does the same.
You might have started a new trend.....watch this space :ORLY: :D You do whatever you like, its your rifle, very functional mod.
To those that think @country cuts got it wrong, you might be surprised to see this:

The concept featured prominently (and taken to even greater extreme) on the Kifaru Rambling Rifle.

Let us know how it shoots please OP
What killed the Kifaru was it's high purchase price and weird looks but the concept of an accurate yet ultra light switch barrel rifle is still something that many manufacturers are selling (or claiming to offer) today.
It takes experiments like this to show what is really required and what is only there for looks. For offhand I reckon it's great but I do need a bipod mount
You don't even have to look that far from the mainstream to find examples of that style....
Ruger 10/22 anyone....??

And obviously these stocks aren't limited to just the Ruger either
