You have to give a valid reason for obtaining your E endorsement.

Hunting is out, dont even mention it or you will fail.

Pest destruction is in ... but only if your currently employed in the industry.

Competition is in..... 3 gun shoots, Military shoots etc. Helps if your a member of a club that currently runs these types of competitions. If you are obtain a letter from the club secretary explaining that you need your "E" endorsement to fully participate in your clubs activities.

You may also want to consider a "C" collectors endorsement at the came time, For that you have to write a letter explaining why you need a "C" endorsement and specifically what you want to collect. Again it also helps if your currently a memeber of a collecting organisation like IMAS etc.

Remember it's your legal right as a NZ Citizen to hold these endorsements if your a fit and proper person and can show a valid reason why you need them.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

From memory as it was a long time ago I used the reason "for Service Rifle and 3 Gun competition and all other lawful and legitimate shooting activities in which I may participate"
