Looks awesome , but 27 ounces? Ouch. I thought the Burris signature HD at 20 was getting heavy I didn't get the veracity cause it weighed 28 ounces.
I'm trying to get to heaven before they shut the door.

Yup its on the heavier end of the scale but it's robust and very well made, would I put it on a ultralight rig ? Maybe not if I was worried about grams but then some guys build ultralight rigs to compensate for heavier scopes....each to their own I guess.
Mine currently sits on my Weatherby Vanguard 270wsm which is hardly an ultralight but it isn't what I would consider too heavy for decent walks either.
Horses for courses, if ya want an ultralight scope get a vx3 or z3 or z5. The HDLR is imo great value and full of features for it's price point and in a hugely versatile magnification range Not offered by any other brand in that price bracket.
As previously stated it's no alpha glass killer, just great value for what it is.
    nor-west and chainsaw like this.
