A protective cover over the Turrets made of car tire tube in the shape of a shuttlecock skirt, cable tied to the tube ahead of the turrets. I would also ditch the torch mount because it probably caused the problem with something getting between the turret and torch mount and levering the turret. Have you tried the magnetic Olight mounts from Sarvo - NZ GR Hunts ?
Thanks for reply, scope only used in open paddocks since rail was put on so nothing caught under it.

I will be using the 223 for spotlighting in the future and just using the 7mm rem mag for long range so rail won't go back on.

I look forward to getting it sighted in again and having that extra option in the safe.
Micky Duck and CBH Australia like this.

It wouldn't have to of been a stick in the bush for example getting between the turret and the spotlight mount, it could have been the 223 dragged across the 7mm as its pulled out in the heat of the moment from between the front seats, barrel dropped in between and given a yank as your mate hisses FS it's going to run !
I see the mount as a turret damage risk, pleased you are taking it off
