    Hey Folks!

    So

I'm wanting to build another custom.

Although in this instance as opposed to my 26" win mag I'm wanting to build something as back up rifle of sorts.

For when I want something in between my 308 and 300.

Something that's short, light and does the job to 900m on most 4 legged critters.

Also to be used for when mates visit and don't Have larger rifles.

Will be reloading for it obviously however rounds that come to mind:
    7/ 3 SAUM
    300 WSM
    284 win.

    Action:
    Rem 700
Rem Model 7- after reading and hearing about them I'm very tempted.
    HOWA/ Weatherby Vanguard
    Weatherby Mark V.

    Barrel:

    22" Long max(suppressed)
    Trueflite ultramatch No 3(fluted)

    Suppressor:
    DPT
    Oceania defence

    Stock:
    STUG
Grey laminate( I love grey wolfs).

    Optic:
    VX 6 3-18
    Burris XTR 2 4-20
    Weaver superslam 3-15.

    As I don't have a 7mm I'm swaying towards one however I'm open.

-Don't let the wife see this- so basically I'm a open cheque within a budget however later on in the year this project will come to fruition but if any knowledgeable sorts on here could guide me further I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have a tikka 595 7mm Saum with a 24” trueflight ultramatch no3 barrel. Also gave a stug stock ordered for it. Thinking of selling. Shoots 1/4-1/2” easy.

If your going towards a short action look at Saum 7mm or 300. As in the past my wsm’s Where a little long to fit nicely. Same with a 284. Unless you go with a mark v action.
