About LinkBacksSounds perfect. Buy 2nd hand, not much point in getting a brand new one. That will leave a bit more cash for a better scope.
Maybe consider a 3-9x40 scope? You can leave it on low power if that's what you prefer to use but if you need magnification it's there. Again, look out for 2nd hand ones - ask on this forum and search Trademe and you'll find a good deal
