I bought a 20-60 x 65 from the USA. The optics are great to look at stars and the moon but pretty crap for anything except shooting at the range out to 100m and even then only on a good day. Its a Barska. Glad I only paid $45 for it landed.

@ebf but they will do .223 holes at 250m? Im looking for one as well. I get an orange dot though, but Im out to 1000m. However if I could see 308 holes at 300 or better even 500m and pay < $600 I'd be very happy. I know my scope (x14 50mm) wont pick out 308 holes at 300~500m.

Im pondering one of these at $400,

Konuspot 80 20-60x 80 Spotting Scope but I'd pay some more if I could see the bullet holes so I could shoot by myself.

    dunno, use bigger bullets

i use to hate shooting bloody 223 in 3-gun, can't call your shots on cardboard. ended up buying a M1 carbine, much better

picked up a sweet old 20x60 bisley deluxe spotter this weekend for $ 50, not sure what it max range will be ?

@ebf a number of our members have older 60mm spotter scopes and they seem ok at 1000yds, to see the orange marker anyway. If I could pick up one at $50 I'd be stoked...otherwise I have to part with >$300...

I have the Konuspot 80 20-60x 80 Spotting Scope for my uses its excellent, I can see where they have repaired bullet holes at 1000yards when the mirage is not too bad.

thanks for the offer Daf but i'll take your word for it as i had a better google and founds pictures at 200meters and you can clearly see bullet holes so at 250 i think i'll still be able to see em maybe 300 would be a bonus! plus for only 330 to my door cant complain!
