All glasses break. I use $40 ones from petrol stations, go through about a pair a year.

They're a waste of time if not polarised.

I can see better through my scope without them, even in bright light .

UV exposure causes cataracts same as it causes wrinkly skin and gunshots cause deafness. I wear them a lot for comfort too especially for driving but its surprising how seldom they're needed outside the manmade environment ie below the bushline, on slips and river flats. They're essential, of course on snow or water and need a strap to hold on.
