Farrell Rem SA base on Model 7...will this work?

The rear hangs over but is in line with action rear. 2 front holes and 1 of the 2 rear holes perfectly aligned.

    Yes...no?

Yeah could do that but on 7mm Saum so would like to have the rear engaged by both available screws. Struggling to get a mount so I can put 34mm rings on.

Before you "machine the arse off it"PM your price
Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

If you want the bolt closed, just remove the rail, close the bolt and refit the rail... Sorted

Hi, I think serious shooters had a 20 moa rem seven base. And gunworks has some but 0 moa.
On my second 7 I have use a weaver tactical base for 700. I have milled out the rear, drilled another hole for the "front"rear screw and had to mill a little bit off the recoil lug of the base on the left hand side to fit the Remington 7 port contour with a ball nose. Then epoxied the thing in place after a good degreasing and lite sand paper sanding.
    Solid as a rock!
I don't like the ken farrel bases as they are quite high. If you put 34 mm rings some of the lowest are still sitting 5 or 6 mm high, which leaves a generous gap between barrel and stock.
I believe there is one set of rings in 34 mm made in Germany that sits at 3.5 mm high.
