Cheers. I hesitated before I started this tread because I didn't want to diss what is a great innovation or the company. As I said, their first repair on it was free and excellent service.

I think maybe the metal ones are too heavy for the attachment mechanism and that the carbon ones are likely ok. I will contact Ethan and have a yarn to him about it.

Later: It looks like they might have discontinued the heavier all metal model - they are not on their website.

@burtonator have you had any issues like this with your carbon one?
I’ve put mine through it’s paces and haven’t had any issues to speak of

Sounds like this issue may just relate to the older steel model no longer produced

Gee Tahr, you might have to go back to the trusty Mustering stick if you and Brian can find some straight ones amongst that North Island rubbish manuka. How did Brians 'sticks' work out ? I have the sliding mustering stick rifle rest sorted and (deer) blooded.

Worked good for a couple of roos but I soon got sick of carrying it in one hand and a rifle in the other.

I have spoken to Ethan at Backlanzn and he couldn't have been more upfront or accomodating. He said that the all metal model has been discontinued because of the sorts of problems I had.
I have a carbon version on its way to try at attractive terms.

A good outcome and excellent service.

I have the new version 2 carbon model which is epic. As tahr has mentioned the old steel one is discontinued now.

I received the new Carbon version in the mail yesterday. Great service.

This is a completely different product from the steel one.
    Light and wonderfully engineered.
Fits on the bracket snug and works as it should.

Time will be the test, but it looks like its going to be great!
