    Federal premium ammo

Hey guys does anyone know who reliably stocks this ammo? Mate is giving me a couple of rounds in 260 and if it shoots well want to be able to source some(after the lockdown has ended obviously). Gun city has them listed but out of stock however $85 a box for the 140 sierras...yikes

Your problem is the same one I have.
I've decided to shoot an odd ball cartridge as well.
Well not in our minds but how long is the 260 ammo going to site on the gun shop shelf compared to say
    308, 7m08, 243, 7mm Rem mag, 30/30, 30/06 even 7x57 etc etc.
Buy a set of dies and start rolling your own.
If you play conservative and just use mid range loads from a reputable book, don't over use your brass etc you will save money and add something extra to you hobby.

Your right. The cost to bring in small quantities of an already expensive ammo in common calibres means you pay for it. $85 doesn't surprise me at all for federal premium 260 ammo. A box of precision hunter for a 7mm08 is in the 65 to 70 range now and that's very common ammo.

Already sussed with that mate. Load 140eldms and they shoot very well and have killed a fair few animals with this load. More thinking about having factory ammo, corelokt is $100 a box which is ridiculous. May try 129 ssts as they are only $65 a box
