    Why would anything needing a NZ Import Permit not arrive ?
    Seems counter to the point of the system to source items with official acceptance .....

    Because almost all international freight companies in NZ have no firearm / firearm part policies.... even if all paper work sorted and perfectly legal. By the past Fedex NZ was all good, not anymore. Same with DHL, TNT it is in their exclusion list.

    Only option seems to be USPS however if package flagged by NZ post I have heard they ask you to come pick it up to the main depot which can be a long way from home.
    UPS seems to not have firearm restriction in their policy (I'm looking into this one).
